Week 1
June 30, 2008
All three class levels learned how to greet and introduce themselves. They talked about their families and practice greetings and mannerisms.

Week 2
July 7, 2008
The beginner level class learned new vocabulary while the intermediate level engaged in class discussions and cultural activities. The Advanced class discussed poetry (aphorisms) and applied their own interpretations to their favorite poems.

Week 3
July 14, 2008
The beginner level students received a lecture in the history of Iranian classical music. Intermediate level students also received a presentation of Persian music. Finally, the advanced Level students continued to engaged in poetry readings.

Week 4
July 21, 2008
The beginner, intermediate, and advanced level students worked on new lessons and art projects. In this final week, the girls performed several cultural dances. Their final activity was to make a Chehel-Tikeh (quilt).
